Néstor Ortigoza Suspended by San Lorenzo

Buenos Aires, Feb 13 (NA) -- The Ethics and Disciplinary Tribunal of San Lorenzo has resolved to suspend Néstor Ortigoza as a member of the institution for one year, after deeming him responsible for infractions contemplated in the club's social statute.

The decision is based on two specific points of the internal regulations: the first establishes sanctions for members who have received a conviction from a competent authority or have engaged in a public conduct that harms the image or interests of the club. The second covers any action or omission that contradicts the law, the statute, or the decisions of the Assembly of Representatives or the Board of Directors, provided the fact has significant public transcendence.

According to the statute, this transcendence is configured when the situation becomes public, is disseminated by the media, and goes beyond the institution's internal scope, reaching general knowledge.

After evaluating the case's background, the Tribunal understood that these violations were configured and applied the sanction of suspension for a period of one year, as reported by the Argentine News Agency.

During that period, Ortigoza will not be able to exercise the rights corresponding to his status as a member.

The resolution is framed within the disciplinary powers provided for by the statute and represents an institutional signal regarding the compliance with internal rules and the conduct required of those who are part of the club's social life.
